Hello to our Puppies x Lennon House family and readers.
On Sunday, we were caught a little off guard with Frankie deciding to birth her pups a few days earlier than anticipated! Len was having a little weekend holiday in Warrnambool with my parents whilst I had a busy weekend ahead to finalise preparations for the impending birth. Plans slowed down as I began to get quite unwell with a cold I caught from Len (Thanks Sweety).
Frankie was showing regular nesting behaviour which I thought was simply early nesting as she has done every other litter. I pushed through that awful feeling of an oncoming cold to get my errands done as much as I could. I then however discovered quite a bit of fluid on the couch! She always loves to nest amongst my cushions on the couch which has never been problematic in the past...
I was keeping in touch with Len very regularly, as he certainly did not want to miss out on the births. Even at 10.30am I was telling Mum, no need to rush, this could go on for days still. Not long after, I noticed much more fluid and showed Frankie to the whelping box quickly. I was in there with her, with her not wanting to leave. I was quickly adding heating and getting the room prepared when I noticed her pushing. I immediately called Len and said I actually think babies will be here really soon!!
Before I even had time to prepare the space to the level I'd done so in the past, our first pup was born at 11.50am! I still can't quite believe it. Mum gathered Len and got in the car to bring him home. Each time there was signs of another pup, I'd quickly Facetime Len so that he could still be a big part of it all.
Len and my Mum arrived just in time for the last two pups to be born. And we have been loving them all ever since. I am finally feeling some energy come back after a quick but nasty virus, and here I am, finally updating the pup website.
These puppies are our signature first generation CockerCavoodles (Cocker Spaniel x Cavalier King Charles x Poodle). We have 2 boys and 5 girls, all a lovely rich red colour.
We are so excited to have this opportunity once again and know how lucky we are to enjoy this experience alongside our girl.
If you haven't already, please pester us. We have more approved applications than pups this time around so it will be first in, best dressed with a pup!
I will be in touch over the next day with first round pup offers, so please keep an eye on your inbox :-)
