Hello!
Well, haven't we been busy here behind the scenes. We truly have had the most magical weekend filled with so much puppy love.
In case you missed it, Thursday evening, Frankie went into labour. Friday morning, there were still no pups, however, when we got back from our morning walk/bike ride, Len went in to check on Frankie, and he found our first pup being born. What a beautiful experience for a 5 year old little boy, he is proud as punch.
It was an extremely long labour, with vets on standby all day just incase we needed assistance. We were told to expect at least 8, maybe nine...maybe more, after having an x-ray to check numbers the week prior. I was on the floor right beside Frankie this whole time, offering her plenty to drink, scooping up the pups when the next was on its way. Puppy number nine was born around 4pm, but I sensed that she wasn't quite finished. I was umming and ahring whether or not there was another baby. I thought I could feel another one, then I couldn't feel it, etc. etc.
The vet said to come in for an x-ray to make sure. And, well I will never forget the excitement and shock on everyones faces; there was another puppy! They gave Frankie some Oxytocin to help with contractions and we waited it out in a spare room at the vet. They made it so special, providing comfy bedding for Frankie, bringing us drinks and lollies, and of course, melting over the 9 babies already in the room.
All of a sudden, our surprise baby number 10 was born. We're still in shock that there are ten. And the assortment of colours is absolutely incredible.
Anyway, I love a birth story so wanted to share Frankies, as it was pretty eventful and purely beautiful.
Are you ready to see these babies!???
I've gotten a quick individual picture of each of them tonight. If one stands out to you, please get in touch with me right away to organise a deposit to lock them in, as the flood gates are beginning to open with people wanting one. I'm still yet to shortlist, however, please pester me and I'll do my best to get to all shortlisted soon. It's extremely busy and chaotic here with these ten babies, so bare with me.
Enjoy!
